Right off the bat on a big recruiting weekend for the Florida Gators, head coach Will Muschamp scored a commitment for 2015. The Gators are hosting another junior day top heavy with offensive recruits and didn’t waste any time accepting a commitment from wide receiver Deondre Farrier a high school teammate of 2014 Gator signee Ryan Sousa at Lake Nona high in Orlando, Florida. He is the second commit for 2015 for the Gators and likely not the last.
Farrier, 6’0 175, has good size, solid hands, and good speed. He’s a perfect fit for what new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper plans to do. He’s a playmaker when he gets the ball in space, has good moves, and can make people miss plus the speed to run away from defenders.
He’s a solid pickup for the Gators and is an important tool for them as they revamp their offense moving to a new spread style. He’s the first commitment of the weekend but stay tuned as their may very well be a few more before the weekend is over.
