Florida Gators Flip Zuniga

The Florida Gators received another verbal commitment Monday evening when Marietta (GA) Sprayberry defensive end Jabari Zuniga flipped to the Gators from N.C. State.

Zuniga (6-3 255), a big, strong, athletic, and versatile defensive end, becomes the tenth commitment of the 2015 recruiting cycle for the Gators with barely more than week to go before signing day.

The Gators recruited him as a pass rusher with elite skills. A great burst off the snap, he can blow by guys or run through them with a powerful bull rush.

Rated a three star athlete in the 247sports composite rankings, Zuniga could be a steal for the Gators as he has a high upside.

Zuniga who committed to N.C. State in November but was intrigued when the Gators started recruiting him after new head coach Jim McElwain took the reins of the Florida program.

He visited Florida on January 16th and many speculated he might commit then. He didn’t and took an official visit to Arkansas this past weekend.

In the end, the offer from the Gators was simply too good to pass up.
